NU’EST (뉴이스트) boy band Korea Selatan yang dibentuk oleh Pledis Entertainment tahun 2012. Nama grup NU’EST merupakan kombinasi dari NU (New), E (Establish), S (Style) dan (T) Tempo, sebagai penekanan untuk kreasi gaya musik kpop baru dari kelompok ini.
Pada awal pra debut, NU’EST muncul di acara musik MCountdown episode Khusus Natal dan SBS Korea Festival Musik. Mereka juga mengambil bagian dalam “2012 Happy PLEDIS”, yaitu sebuah album amal yang menampilkan semua artis dibawah manajemen Pledis entertainment. Satu anggota NU’EST (Minhyun) juga pernah tampil di video musik girl band Orange Caramel.
Tanggal 18 Januari Pledis resmi mengumumkan 5 anggota NU’EST melalui foto teaser masing-masing yang dirilis berurutan, pertama Leader JR, kemudian Minhyun dan Aaron, terakhir Baekho dan Ren. Kemudian 3 Maret mereka merilis teaser untuk single album pertamanya berjudul “FACE”. Beberapa teaser untuk anggota juga dirilis sebelum akhirnya NU’EST merilis single album FACE pada 15 Maret 2012.
